Report: It Takes At Least 170 Days to Fire a Government Employee

I suspect we all have a knee-jerk reaction to this headline; however, to be fair, every case must be treated on it's own merit.
Some actions probably do require instant dismissal, while others need some investigation to get it right...
Elizabeth Harrington recently wrote about it on the FreeBeacon.com website:
"In order to fire a government worker federal managers can consult a 12-step flow chart, which the GAO provided in the report released Monday. The report examined the 'long-standing personnel issue' of the government’s inability to fire bad employees."

"Cat cafes are huge in Japan right now. As the name suggests, these are coffee shops where cat lovers go to sip overpriced lattes and hang out with an adorable smoosh pile of kitties."

Inspector General Michael Horowitz

There are many who think Inspector General Michael Horowitz may soon expose "the swamp"...
"TrumpSoldier" has posted a historical timeline using the Thread Reader app:
"Obama nominated Michael Horowitz in July of 2011 to fill a vacancy left open by the resignation of Glenn Fine in February. Mr. Horowitz was confirmed in March the following year, and sworn in on April 16th, 2012.

It was a nomination Obama would come to regret."

'Palestinians' Lie and Count on Your Ignorance

The Middle East conflict has continued for quite a long time.
Every few years there appears a new hope for some agreement.
Perhaps President Trump will be the one who succeeds...
On the American Thinker website, Dan Calic recently took the time to explain what goes on:
"In the Arab-Israel conflict, one issue which rises above every other is the accuracy of what is presented. The Palestinians are relying on people not knowing history in order to advance their narrative. Israel on the other hand is relying on people knowing history.

From where I sit, over the past two or three decades, it appears most people do not know history very well. Thus, the Palestinian narrative has gained popularity and has shaped much of public opinion.

What’s especially troubling is that the mainstream media has adopted most of the Palestinian propaganda, or seems to sympathize with it. Sadly, the days of objective news reporting appear to be gone. Today’s reporting has pretty much turned into op-eds, rather than simple straightforward news."

Have Republicans finally found their groove?

I'd like to believe this; however, my experience with political history makes me very, very skeptical...
Brian C. Joondeph, writing at AmericanThinker.com, wonders if it will continue:
"Finally, Republicans have finally realized that Trump is a winning horse. Reagan, not Nixon. Or either of the Bushes. He had a great first year, accomplishing much despite an overwhelming and unrelenting assault from the media and their Democrat allies. Those opposing Trump have been steamrolled. Why would Congressional Republicans want to suffer the same fate when hopping on the Trump train is far easier and politically expedient?

Regardless of reason, Congressional Republicans have finally found their groove. The question is will they keep it up or fall back to old ways in the new year? If they can remain unified with the President and each other, think of how much they can accomplish."

MAGA Success IS The Existential Threat… | The Last Refuge

For me, and perhaps for many, there is mystery as to why so many work so hard to disparage President Trump, his administration, and their unqualified success to date...
On the ConservativeTreehouse.com website, "Sundance" explains:
"Never has their been a more brutally obvious intention on display, than with President Trump’s cabinet selections. Toward the end goal of MAGA, President-Elect Trump assembled his cabinet; these would be the subject matter experts to whom he assigns specific responsibilities.

Now, unlike most ‘politicians’, the filter of cabinet selection qualification did not include political repayment for campaign support rendered. Indeed, all previous political presidencies used cabinet positions to repay political favors; generally, it has always been thus. However, for POTUS Trump the intensely mapped-out MAGA objective is the primary filter. He was looking for results oriented ‘doer’s’ not politicians.

Within this cabinet, the level of competency and skill is stunning."

Global Warming: Fake News from the Start - Tom Harris

Here's a bit of a review on the subject of "global warming"...
Dr. Tim Ball and Tom Harris begin their posting at Townhall.com with this:
"President Donald Trump announced the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement on climate change because it is a bad deal for America. He could have made the decision simply because the science is false, but most of the public have been brainwashed into believing it is correct and wouldn’t understand the reason."

Ambassador Haley on the United States Negotiating a Significant Reduction in the UN Budget

Does this work for you?...
U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley is definitely on the job:
"Today, the United Nations agreed on a budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. ‎Among a host of other successes, the United States negotiated a reduction of over $285 million off the 2016-2017 final budget. In addition to these significant cost savings, we reduced the UN’s bloated management and support functions, bolstered support for key U.S. priorities throughout the world, and instilled more discipline and accountability throughout the UN system."

A Great Reckoning is Visible – U.N. Vote Against America Begins End of U.N. in New York…

As the "Hulk" said: "don't make me angry; you wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

The United Nations and a good portion of it's member states have just poked the eye of their host nation and it's financial support...
At ConservatieTreehouse.com, "Sundance" tells us:
"Go ahead and mark the date on the calendar, you’ll remember this day. Earlier today the United Nations voted in favor of a nonbinding resolution declaring President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital 'null and void.'

U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley delivered remarks noting the likely consequence prior to the vote taking place. [Full transcript and video below] Believe me, this will not end well for the U.N:"

Former Facebook Exec: 'You Don’t Realize It But You Are Being Programmed'

And (IMHO) there's no doubt about it...
On the Gizmodo.com website, Jennings Brown recently reported on this:
"...When the host asked Palihapitiya if he was doing any soul searching in regards to his role in building Facebook, he responded: 'I feel tremendous guilt. I think we all knew in the back of our minds—even though we feigned this whole line of, like, there probably aren’t any bad unintended consequences. I think in the back, deep, deep recesses of, we kind of knew something bad could happen. But I think the way we defined it was not like this.' He went on to explain what 'this' is:

So we are in a really bad state of affairs right now, in my opinion. It is eroding the core foundation of how people behave by and between each other. And I don’t have a good solution. My solution is I just don’t use these tools anymore. I haven’t for years.

Speaking more broadly on the subject of social media, Palihapitiya said he doesn’t use social media because he 'innately didn’t want to get programmed.' As for his kids: 'They’re not allowed to use this shit.'"

Australia - Migrants banned from welfare for three years after arrival

Sounds like a plan...
This article by the Australian Associated Press was posted on the U.K. Daily Mail website:
"Newly-arrived migrants will have to wait longer before receiving a range of welfare payments under a hardline new approach expected to save $1.3 billion.

It will be three years before migrants can receive Newstart or family tax benefits, paid parental leave or carer allowances.

The push to 'encourage self-sufficiency' among new migrants was one of the headline savings measures announced by Treasurer Scott Morrison in a mid-year budget outlook on Monday."

Donald Trump's 2017: A Whirlwind of a Year | National Review

Think whatever you want and say whatever you want; however, you're not likely to ever again see so many things accomplished in such a short time against such vicious opposition...
On the National Review website, Conrad Black closes with this; but the lead-in is a real joy to read:
"Donald Trump was a joke until nominated, unelectable until elected, incompetent until he succeeded on most fronts, and about to be impeached until he debunked the collusion nonsense; he has had a very successful year. His enemies have been weighed in the balance and they have been found wanting. They shall have their reward. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all readers, especially the president and Mrs. Trump."

'The Gloves Are Off': Top General Says U.S. Demolished $80 Million in Taliban Heroin Labs

President Trump has the military going after drugs at their source.
Now why didn't I think of that? [smile]...
Edwin Mora reported this on Breitbart.com's National Security site:
"The U.S.-NATO coalition in Afghanistan has pulverized 25 Taliban labs used to process opium and its deadly heroin derivative, depriving the narco-jihadists of $80 million in illegal drug proceeds in the first three weeks of an unprecedented counternarcotics air campaign. Since November 20, U.S. troops and their Afghan allies have been targeting the Taliban jihadists’ opium business in their Helmand stronghold, the top-poppy producing province in Afghanistan."

Coal Is Here for the Long Haul

I'll bet you some "businessman" we know is well aware of this...
Back in October, at AmericanThinker.com, Richard Zuber discusses an item of truth:
"The global energy outlook lays bare what many politicians and energy sector specialists have long known to be true but have been wary of saying above a whisper, especially during the Obama years: coal is here to stay. The numbers – along with major power installation projects underway domestically and abroad – don’t lie. And while green activists might wring their hands, this energy outlook in fact represents a goldmine for the U.S. if we choose the right strategy: one focused on meeting the needs of developing economies hungry for more energy, and on investing in clean coal and similar technologies to maximize the efficiency of our nation’s new plants."

Foster Care Shouldn't Be a Profit Center for Families

So, good intentions; or, something else...
At NewsMax.com, Michael Reagan recently wrote about this thing:
"Foster parents receive a monthly stipend for foster children in their care. The check is based on the age of the child, extenuating circumstances, and if the child has any disabilities. Amounts can vary depending of the state administering the program.

One thing all the checks have in common is that when the child turns 18 the money from the state stops. Call me naïve, but I would have thought that if a family truly cared about the individual it was fostering the absence of a check would not make any difference.

It shows you how much I know. For some revenue-minded foster "parents" when opening the door no longer provides a check, the foster child is shown the door."

Manufacturing Optimism Rose to Another All-Time High in the Latest NAM Outlook Survey

When you see ALL TIME RECORDS with measurements like this, you KNOW why...
At Shopfloor.org, Chad Moutray posted about this one:
"The latest NAM Manufacturers’ Outlook Survey reflected continued optimism in the sector, with the headline index rising to unprecedented heights. Indeed, 94.6 percent of respondents said they are positive about their own company’s outlook, the highest in the survey’s 20-year history.

Optimism has been at historically high levels throughout the year, averaging 91.8 percent in the four quarters of 2017, up from a 64.3 percent average in 2016. Manufacturers have reported a robust turnaround in activity over the past 12 months, and they are very upbeat in their assessment of demand and output moving forward. NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons appeared on CNBC to highlight these results."

GOP Would Rather Lose than Fight

Big Hint - the "one man" is D.J.T....
At AmericanThinker.com, Brian C Joondeph, MD, MPS, recently wrote about the Republican Party:
"Who are the opponents? Who is pushing back? One might think the Republican Party is the resistance to the progressive enemy. A slide toward socialism, communism, fascism, or any other “ism” leaving the anointed ones in power deciding for the masses what is best, how they should live, what they should think, how they should behave.

Yet the GOP is not pushing back, instead its members acquiescing or cowering in fear of being called mean names by the prominent newspapers and television networks. Acting like wimps. Not willing to fight, to teach, to explain -- the only way to win this war.

The pushback is instead coming from one man, his assembled team, and 65 million citizen supporters."

Wikileaks Massive Exposure: Here Are 6 Republicans Who Took Bribes From Clinton To ‘Destroy Trump’

FCC Chairman Ajit Pai Calls Out Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Silicon Valley for Censorship and Internet Content Manipulation…

Our politicians have developed the skill of giving laws names that are often the opposite of the effect they have.
A glaring example is the "Affordable" Care Act.
As discussed here, "Net Neutrality", is also not as it sounds; and for that reason the FCC Chairman wants to do away with it...
The Conservative Treehouse website has posted the transcript of the FCC Chairman's explanation of his intentions. The media's reporting on this issue doesn't match well with his actual words:
"The chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, Ajit Pai, fired a direct shot across the bow of the technocrats who control social media platforms today.

Chairman Pai righteously called out Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other platform control agents for being ideologically biased, and using their platforms to target their ideological opposition.

Defending his plan to roll back Obama’s one-sided internet rules, the Chairman outlined how he intended to ensure a free, fair and open internet."

MERRY AGAIN: Retail Sales Blow Away Expectations - Breitbart

Welcome to the President Trump economy, and I'd bet there's more to come...
At Breitbart.com, John Carney reports this:
"Holiday shopping got off to a booming start in November, signaling sustained strength in the economy.

Retail sales rose 0.8 percent on a monthly basis in November, more than twice the 0.3 percent gain expected by economists, according to data released Thursday by the Commerce Department.

Data for October was revised sharply upward to 0.5 percent from the previously reported 0.2 percent rise.

Compared with the prior year, retail sales were up 5.8 percent.

The stronger than expected retail sales number increase the odds that fourth quarter gross domestic product will come in higher than expected."

The Liberal Media Goal Always: The Agenda, the Agenda, the Agenda

President Trump is constantly hounding the media to be more careful and truthful.
I suspect he has witnessed the same history as many of us have...
At NewsBusters.org, Jeffrey Lord reminds us of why we should be skeptical of the liberal media:
"At the moment the demand is for Roy Moore’s head. Beyond that the target is, of course, President Trump. But always, always, always the real reason for all of this coverage is The Agenda, The Agenda and The Agenda. If in fact Franken and Conyers have to be thrown overboard by the media - then over they go.

And for precisely that exact same reason there was absolutely never any intention of throwing Ted Kennedy overboard in the day. When he got too out of hand, he would be chastised in the media like a rambunctious child. But he would be protected, Chappaquiddick and invitations to underage girls or waitress sandwiches be damned.

In other words? First, last and always the liberal media will protect the liberal agenda. If that means covering for Ted Kennedy or the Clintons - they will do it. If it means the reverse - as it does this moment with the dispatching of the just re-elected liberal Al Franken they will do that too."

The Disney Channel is no longer safe for our kids | New York Post

Considering the impact of money in our society, voting with your feet, and NOT patronizing things you disagree with, may be the most effective choice...
As a mother, Julie Gunlock expresses her views in the New York Post:
"As a mom of three young kids, I’m careful about what they’re exposed to on television, and I screen the shows they watch to confirm they reflect our family values of respect and courteousness. That’s why my kids are banned from watching the Disney Channel.

The Disney Channel and its spin-off, Disney XD, are no longer 'safe spaces' for kids. The kid characters on Disney’s shows are often mouthy and disrespectful to parents and authority figures (who are usually scripted as muddle-headed and embarrassingly square). Even many of the strange animated characters make crass and nasty comments."

Fake News Firehose: Science Proves Media Are Not Making 'Honest Mistakes' About Trump

Those with logic, common sense, or knowledge of statistics, probably realize by now that the media is in deliberate lie mode...
At Breitbart.com, John Nolte writes about what some of us already know:
"Therefore, through the use of dispassionate science and math, the only conclusion one can come to when observing the national media’s relentless fire-hosing of fake news is that these are not 'honest mistakes,' but instead deliberate lies — attempts from a biased and partisan media to destroy President Trump through a propagandistic crusade of calculated disinformation.

What allows us to safely come to this conclusion?

Well, what would you think of a scientist who came to you with a coin-flipping experiment that resulted in 0 heads and 100 tails? That is easy, you would know the experiment had been rigged, that he is lying. And you would know this because a 0/100 outcome is impossible without a corrupting influence, without a conscious act of bias."

Ex-CNN Journalist Amber Lyon Turned Whistleblower: 'CNN Produces Infomercials For Dictators'

We all know the ability of news organizations to depict things as they wish.
That being said, I'm sure we DON'T know how often they (mis)use it...
I found the story about this on Common Sense Evaluation website:
"Instead of watch-dogging governments around the world, CNN is earning money from them, producing what might as well be called ‘Infomercials for Dictators’, sponsored shows and content that cast a positive light on some of the world’s most oppressive regimes. The news organization is defrauding unsuspecting viewers and its own journalists who often risk their lives to expose those same oppressive regimes."

Blue State Blues: Like FDR, Trump Is Standing Up to Fear Itself

This writer's view seems pretty accurate.
If the media were reasonably honest, step #2 would be less noisy for sure...
At Breitbart.com, Joel B. Pollak outlines President Trump's seeming method:
"There is a repeated pattern in President Donald Trump’s major policy decisions.

1. Trump floats a good idea — for example, declaring Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel.

2. Debate ensues, with the experts telling us that it cannot be done, and the world telling us that it should not be done.

3. Trump makes the decision anyway, and suddenly all of the terrible things we were told to fear somehow fail to happen.

4. The world accepts Trump’s choice, adapts to it, and moves on — until the next crisis. "

"Bill Clinton Still Silent About Flights On Pedophile’s Sex Plane"

The issue of powerful people involved with underage girls (and boys) is absolutely disgusting to me.
I'd sure like to see an example made of this behavior.
That there hasn't been one, scares me that it might even be more prevalent than I imagine...
On the DailyCaller.com website, Richard Pollock recently wrote about it:
"Former President Bill Clinton continues to remain silent about the 26 flights he took aboard convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet, dubbed the 'Lolita Express,' which reportedly offered underage girls to passengers to rape.

Fox News wrote in 2016 that the Lolita Express, a Boeing 727 jet, was 'reportedly outfitted with a bed where passengers had group sex with young girls.'

Clinton flew on some trips where the flight logs showed only the first names of female passengers."

Warner Todd Huston recently posted about this on Breitbart.com:
"The suspect also 'pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and intimidation charges. As part of a plea deal, prosecutors dropped additional charges, including kidnapping,' the Tribune said.

Despite the guilty plea, Cook County Circuit Judge William Hooks released Covington without jail time. Telling Covington, 'Do not mess this up,' Judge Hooks imposed 200 hours of community service and banned Covington from using social media and having contact with her co-defendants for four years.

The judge did not assign jail time because, he said, 'I’m not sure if I did that you’d be coming out any better.'"

Mitch McConnell’s Freighted Ties to a Shadowy Shipping Company

Perhaps you'll find this story interesting...
Lee Fang tells us about it on theNation.com website:
"Though Foremost has played a pivotal role in McConnell’s life, bestowing the senator with most of his personal wealth and generating thousands in donations to his campaign committees, the drug bust went unnoticed in Kentucky, where every bit of McConnell-related news has generated fodder for the campaign trail. That’s because, like many international shipping companies, Chao’s firm is shrouded from public view, concealing its identity and limiting its legal liability through an array of tax shelters and foreign registrations. Registered through a limited liability company in the Marshall Islands, the Ping May flies the Liberian flag."

Donald Trump's Secret Admirers

From the "get go", President Trump has appealed to those who don't desire or require being public about their support...
Dan Truitt has this as part of his post at AmericanThinker.com:
"Watching Trump, I thought of the contrast between him and the svelte, smooth, athletically trim stride of the previous president, you know, the guy who just spent eight years doubling our national debt, setting the Middle East on fire, handcuffing our businesses with excessive regulations, siccing the IRS on his political opponents, and exacerbating racial tensions which had been relaxing on their own for decades and which culminated in his own election, forever putting the lie to the notion that America is an institutionally racist country. I watched Trump, who walked like something out of Gorillas in the Mist, and I laughed. I laughed loudly, knowing that he was about to put the kabosh on some snooty, self-important journalist who is just as clueless as to how to handle the man as he was on that day in the summer of 2015 when he announced his run for president. Man, this guy is fun."

British Nursery Age Toddlers Given Picture Books Encouraging Transgender Questioning of Gender

Nursery Age!      What are these people thinking?...

"Britain’s Sunday Times has identified a number of picture books on reading lists generated by the group for schools, which include titles such as Introducing Teddy, which features a male bear called Thomas. Speaking to his friend, the protagonist says: 'I need to be myself, Errol. In my heart, I’ve always known that I am a girl teddy, not a boy teddy. I wish my name was Tilly, not Thomas.'

In another book, Are You a Boy or Are You a Girl?, the main character queries their gender identity. Questions for children to engage with after reading the book include: 'Does it matter if Tiny is a boy or a girl?', and 'Should Tiny be allowed to play football and dress up as a fairy?'."

"ICE’s Atlanta office made 7,753 arrests across Georgia and the Carolinas from January through June, the most recent period for which data was available. That was more than any other field office except Dallas’s, and an increase of nearly 80 percent over the same period last year.

'If you’re in this country illegally, you should be scared,' said Sean Gallagher, the Atlanta field office director. 'We’re probably going to come knocking at some point.'

ICE officials say that agents do not randomly arrest people, instead targeting immigrants such as Mr. Martinez-Samano. But rumor often outpaces fact. In the suburban neighborhoods where hundreds of thousands of immigrants have made precarious camp, dread of a knock from ICE informs every decision."

What Really Happened At The School Where Every Graduate Got Into College

Does this make you wonder if other schools are similar?...
On the NPR.org website, Kate McGee reports on the school where EVERY graduate got into college:
"An investigation by WAMU and NPR has found that Ballou High School's administration graduated dozens of students despite high rates of unexcused absences. We reviewed hundreds of pages of Ballou's attendance records, class rosters and emails after a district employee shared the private documents. Half of the graduates missed more than three months of school last year, unexcused. One in five students was absent more than present — missing more than 90 days of school."

Stanford's elite business school caught cheating by student

Apparently, "need-based" meant the need of the university...
Eathan Baron posted this story on "The Mercury News" website:
"In February, MBA student Adam Allcock discovered 14 terabytes of confidential student data from financial aid applications, according to a new report. Later that month, Allcock reported the breach to the school’s financial aid director, and the records were removed within an hour, the report said.

However, Allcock had dug deeply into the data, spending 1,500 hours analyzing the information and putting together an 88-page report, according to Poets&Quants, a website covering business school news.

Allcock’s conclusion? The Graduate School of Business had not been honest with students, in fact had been 'lying to their faces' for more than a decade.

Rather than being solely need-based, the fellowship grants were used to rank students according to their value to the school, Allcock determined."

Booming Economy: New York Fed GDP Reading Hits 3.9 Percent

President Trump's economic train is picking up speed exponentially.
We are unlikely to elect a politician over a businessperson to be president ever again...
At Breitbart.com, John Carney reports about it:
"The New York Federal Reserve’s tool for forecasting gross domestic product (GDP) hit its highest point ever on Friday, pointing to a fourth-quarter GDP growth of 3.93 percent.

The number is so high that the New York Fed’s 'Nowcasting Report' had to be rescaled to allow for such a high reading. Prior to the most recent quarter, the Nowcast has never before predicted GDP above 3.2 percent and rarely ever above 3 percent."

Donald Trump’s Accomplishments -- Thanksgiving | National Review

A lot of people do know about these; however, if your news sources are mainstream only, you are likely mostly in the dark...
Deroy Murdock lays it out on the National Review website:
"And the best is yet to come. This Thanksgiving, Americans in general — and free-market conservatives in particular — have plenty for which to be grateful. And much of it would be absent had the White House’s current occupant not become president on November 8, 2016."

ABC’s Brian Ross Entirely Misleads All Media on Flynn Story – ABC Desperately Backtracks…

So, the media gets it wrong, the wrong news gets proliferated the world over, the stock market takes a temporary hit, and President Trump's "fake news" tagging is proven right once again...
The Conservative Treehouse tells us all about it:
"Well, today ABC News Brian Ross again appeared directly on ABC World News to break a story claiming that candidate Donald Trump told campaign adviser Michael Flynn to make contact with Russians.

Except this statement is entirely false. Nothing about Brian Ross’s claim is accurate at all. That claim is entirely fake news; and now ABC is in damage control mode trying to walk-back the Brian Ross statement."

Claire McCaskill took action to hide travel on private plane from public

Most of our elected representatives (this one is a Senator) do everything they can to hide their activities...
On the FoxNews website, Brent Scher has this posted:
"Sen. Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.) took action earlier this year to make her family's private plane untrackable by the public, according to documents obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration. McCaskill garnered much criticism ahead of her last reelection campaign over her use of a private jet at taxpayer expense that she demanded her husband 'sell the damn plane.' But they bought a new, more expensive plane shortly after she won that election. Now, as she gears up for her next election fight, they have taken action to limit scrutiny of the plane's use."

Stealth Bomber Design

Probably not for everyone, but interesting nonetheless, plus cool pictures...
At theDrive.com, Tyler Rogoway recently wrote about stealth bombers, past, present, and future. He begins:
"Detailed information on the B-21 Raider is still scarce to say the least, but for over a year and a half we have had a rendering supposedly depicting the multi-role strategic stealth platform's basic shape and features. Recently, other simple platform renderings have trickled out from the marketing department of the stealth bomber's manufacturer, Northrop Grumman. Although there can be no doubt that the aircraft will feature a whole slew of cutting edge technologies, will be constructed using the latest manufacturing techniques, and will be covered in the most advanced radar absorbent coatings, the general configuration of the aircraft doesn't seem to be new at all, in fact it appears to date back over three decades to the dawn of the stealth bomber revolution."

The media are playing checkers while Trump plays 3-D chess

I'd actually say 3-D chess is not nearly adequate to describe President Trump.
It becomes clearer every day that President Trump's attributes, energy, and resolve, are an exact fit to fix almost everything in the world that has gone astray over time...
At AmericanThinker.com, Patricia McCarthy has come to this conclusion:
"They still don't get that Trump is smarter than the lot of them. They think that because he does not speak as they do, because his sentence structure is unlike their own, he must be stupid. They are slow learners. He has been in office nearly a year now and has accomplished quite a lot despite all the bipartisan efforts to sabotage his agenda. Unemployment is down, food stamp use is down, consumer confidence is high, and the stock market is roaring in contradiction to all the lefty talking heads who said it would crater. Wages are coming up, and the economy is growing faster than any time in the last eleven years. Not bad for a man hit with slings and arrows all day, every day.

The progressive left can talk about impeachment all it wants, but Trump's support is growing as people feel his success in their own towns and homes. The rest of us are enjoying watching Trump put the media into paroxysms of idiocy day after day after day. The checkers-chess analogy works, and Trump is a master player."

Stoned: How Colorado's 5 Years of Legal Pot Is 'Devastating Communities'

So, are we surprised?...
Dale Hurd reports in the Colorado Springs Gazette:
"The Gazette editorial concludes, 'Commercial pot's five-year anniversary is an odious occasion for those who want safer streets, healthier kids and less suffering associated with substance abuse.'"
