Diggin' Up The Past: Dem Congressional Candidate Founded a Socialist, Anti-Capitalist Bookstore

I don't like this;, but, it may be acceptable in liberal Washington State.
That being said, it highlights once again, one's past can come back to bite them...
At Townhall.com, Beth Baumann reported on this candidate's past:
"A Democratic congressional candidate in Washington State founded a socialist bookstore back in the 1970s. Lisa Brown, who is running against House Republican Conference Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, founded Left Hand Book and Record Collective in Colorado in 1979, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

According to the bookstore's Facebook page, they are 'Boulder's one-stop-shop for all socialist, resistance, revolutionary, radical, alternative, and anti-capitalist literature.'

The store touts their large selection of works by known socialists."

43 Shot, Five Fatally, over Halloween Weekend in Chicago

Ho..Hum.. Another weekend in Democrat run Chicago...
AWR Hawkins reports this at Breitbart.com:
"Forty-three people were shot, including five who were shot fatally, over Halloween weekend in Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Chicago. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that beginning with Friday, each day in the weekend became more violent. For example, 'three wounded and one killed Friday night, 11 wounded and one killed on Saturday, and 25 shot — three fatally — on Sunday.'"

Non-Functioning Bombs and Double Standards

Regardless of the outcome of the current "bombing" issue, there IS a history of culprits in these kind of things...
Matthew Vadum begins his article at FrontPageMag.com with this:
"Political terrorism is almost exclusively the province of the Left in America, so naturally, conservatives find the timing of the delivery of non-functioning, vaguely scary-looking replicas of letter bombs this week to opponents of President Trump suspicious to say the least.

Remember that the Democratic National Committee has officially endorsed the violent Black Lives Matter movement and that more than a few Democrats support the Antifa terrorist movement. Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 running-mate, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), whose son Woody is an Antifa terrorist, said recently that Democrats need to “fight in the streets” against Republicans.

Intended recipients of the packages include former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former CIA Director John Brennan, former Attorney General Eric Holder, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Trump critic and actor Robert DeNiro, and leftist billionaire George Soros, CBS News reports.

Some of those targeted are the worst purveyors of violent rhetoric targeting Republicans."

How crooked is Leon County?

The American election system has serious flaws...
At AmericanThinker.com, Steve Holland tells us about this one:
"I tossed both envelopes into the car seat and noticed something unusual. My wife is a registered Democrat, and her envelope was postage-paid with 'par avion,' which is French for air mail. I'm a registered Republican, and my envelope had clear bold-type letters stating that postage needed to be applied. (See the photo below.)"

Facebook Engineer's Stunning Admission: "We Tear Down Posters Welcoming Trump Supporters"

This is wrong and I hope they eventually are made to regret it...
On the ZeroHedge.com website, Tyler Durden writes about Facebook's bias:
"According to a memo posted on Facebook's internal message board titled 'We Have a Problem With Political Diversity', and which was published by the New York Times, senior Facebook engineer Brian Amerige confirmed Trump's allegation writing that 'we are a political monoculture that’s intolerant of different views' and shockingly admitted that 'we claim to welcome all perspectives, but are quick to attack — often in mobs — anyone who presents a view that appears to be in opposition to left-leaning ideology. We throw labels that end in *obe and *ist at each other, attacking each other’s character rather than their ideas.'

The scathing indictment of Facebook's liberal "'mono-culture' continues:"

Free-Range Kids vs. Deranged Adults

Our parents used to leave their doors unlocked.
As children, many of us roamed far and wide on foot or riding our bicycles.
Obviously, times have changed, leading to conflicts about child raising and supervision...
At Townhall.com, Paul Jacob began his posted article with this:
"I have daughters. And neighbors, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends with children. And friends who used to be children. Some who maybe still are. But when the command to 'think of the children' is screamed aloud by freaked-out paranoiacs demanding more laws, more punishments, more prison time, more surveillance — and consequently less freedom — I try to remain calm and think responsibly. As did one Corey Widen, when she 'let her 8-year-old do the most normal, cheerful thing in the world — walk the dog around the block.' Lenore Skenazy tells the tale in Reason. 'After the girl returned home, the doorbell rang. It was the police.'"

Smothered: Six Democratic Scandals That The Elite News Media Suffocated With A Pillow This Cycle

Just wondering if you know about all (or any) of these...
At Townhall.com, Matt Vespa listed them and described the circumstances:
"Here are the suspects in the line up:

Beto O’Rourke
, who is challenging Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), flat-out lied in a debate about his DUI arrest.
Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) accepted lavish gifts from donor and friend Salomon Melgen.

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO)
, one of the most vulnerable Democrats running for re-election, her husband apparently took advantage of a low-income housing tax credit program to make millions…for himself.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee
’s staffer doxxed Republicans during the vicious fight over the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh.

Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO)
, who is running for governor, reportedly got physical with a female staffer.

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN)
, who is running to be the chief law enforcer of Minnesota, was hit with domestic abuse allegations that the media and his party seemingly decided to straight up ignore.

Between all of these scandals, the media devoted less than 10 minutes of media attention from the Big Three, which was the focus of the study (via Newsbusters) [emphasis mine]:"

Deep State Exposed: Anti-Trump Foggy Bottom Leak Network Uncovered

It's my thought that most of us, who have never been associated with a large government bureaucracy, have no idea what constitutes the "deep state".
This article describes with examples what goes on.
Multiply this throughout the entire government and you see how damaging it can be...
This is part of a recently posted article by Kristina Wong at Breitbart.com:
"Leaks like these from what has become known as 'the Deep State' have plagued the Trump administration since it took office.

Most operators in the Deep State — a loosely connected group of holdovers from the Obama administration, Republican appointees who disagree with Trump’s agenda, as well as several of the 2.8 million career government employees working throughout the federal bureaucracy — have operated with near impunity, facing no consequences for their actions.

They remain anonymous, like the author of a recent op-ed in the New York Times, and have been aggressive — wiping out many of the president’s appointees. Breitbart News, through this exclusive report, is exposing just a sliver of how these leakers maneuver — naming names and detailing the process through which they engage in their anti-Trump attacks."

John Kerry: A Traitor for the Ages

You can be sure this writer is not alone with his thoughts...
At Townhall.com, Frank Hawkins closes his article about John Kerry with this:
"For the record, Article 3 of the US Constitution: 'Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.' The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized persons with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States.

So here's the real question: Was there ever a more despicable American than John Kerry?"

Facebook Deletes Disabled Veteran's Page Without Warning — After Taking $300,000 for Ads

Just possibly, Facebook's original intentions were pure; but I doubt it.
They wield immeasurable power over messaging and are clearly biased.
I am NOT a fan of Facebook...
Lucas Nolan reported on this and more on the Breitbart website:
"Facebook blacklisted the conservative news page run by disabled Air Force veteran Brian Kolfage with no warning or explanation — after he reportedly spent more than $300,000 on Facebook advertising. On his new website which aims to put an end to social media censorship, Air Force veteran and triple-amputee Brian Kolfage explains who he is and the challenges he’s facing stating: “I’m a veteran of The United States Air Force. I was severely wounded in Combat, on 9/11/2004 while serving in Iraq I lost both my legs entirely and my right hand. I’m the most severely wounded US Airman to survive.”"

Analysis: Elizabeth Warren's Latest 'Native American' Defense is a Cringe-worthy Embarrassment

As the writer implies, I guess "Pocohontas" will be running for president.
If so, you can be sure her opponent(s) will make of big deal of her questionable heritage claims...
At Townhall.com, Guy Benson has a lot of historical in-depth commentary:
"Warren can trot out as many supportive colleagues from her various law schools as she likes (misleadingly, a number of those featured in the video were from universities where she taught before she decided to classify herself as a minority), but this simple fact pattern remains: Several Ivy League schools were beset with faculty diversity crises in the 1980's and 1990's. Warren started checking the minority box just prior to getting hired into the Ivy League, then ceased checking the box just after she got tenure at Harvard, nine years later. Her explanation for this timeline is patently absurd. And the publication in which she self-identified as a minority was known to be a "tip sheet" for administrators looking to hire minority professors. It very much looks like her little gambit worked."

6-year-old School Pupils Write Gay Love Letters to Learn to 'Accept Diversity'

This stuff actually happens...
At Breitbart.com, Jack Montgomery recently wrote about this:
"A video published by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) showing 6-year-old school children being instructed to write gay love letters has been causing a stir on social media.

The video, originally uploaded to BBC Radio Manchester’s Facebook page, shows young children at Bewsey Lodge Primary School being instructed to write love letters from 'Prince Henry' to his manservant, “Thomas”, with the teacher instructing her pupils: 'You’re going to tell Thomas why it’s a brilliant idea for him to marry you.' 'This school teaches children about LGBT relationships from an early age,' enthuses the BBC’s subtitled commentary.

'This class of six-year-olds is learning about gay marriage. In this fairytale, the Prince wants to marry his [male] servant. And the children are writing a love letter.'"

War on Choice: UK Government Sets ‘Calorie Cap’ for Pizzas, Burgers... Even Soup

Too much government!
I have to wonder what the people (voters) think.
Shouldn't the marketplace decide about things like this?
If consumers don't want something, they don't buy it, and the market adjusts, or suffers financial consequences...
At Breitbart London, Virgiania Hale reported on this:
"Restaurants and supermarkets have been told to shrink pizzas or remove toppings under “drastic” new government plans to calorie cap thousands of foods sold in the UK. Draft guidelines unveiled by Public Health England (PHE) would see recommended calorie limits set for regularly consumed items including sandwiches, cooking sauces, pies, soups, and processed meats, the Daily Telegraph reports."

Migrant Beheads 1-Year-Old Girl In Germany; Merkel Bans Media Reporting

Warning ! This is not a pleasant story...

While the American media often self-censors barbaric behavior of certain groups, Germany goes even further to hide what's really going on...
Baxter Dmitri reported on this at Newswire.com:
"Angela Merkel’s pro-migrant government has banned German media from reporting on a barbaric crime involving a Muslim migrant who allegedly beheaded his one-year-old baby daughter on a train station platform in Hamburg.

According to eyewitnesses, the 33-year-old suspect, Mourtala Madou, beheaded his one-year-old daughter in front of a horrified crowd of commuters at Jungfernstieg station on Thursday April 12, and then stabbed his German girlfriend, the mother of the child.

he suspect allegedly stabbed the infant from behind, while she was sitting in her stroller, and then severed her neck. He then allegedly stabbed his girlfriend in the chest before fleeing the scene, dumping the murder weapon in a train station trash can. He was later arrested.

The woman, a mother of four other children, later died at hospital of her injuries."

North Korea and South Korea removing land mines along DMZ at Panmunjom and Arrow Head Hill

This cooperation IS a big deal; BUT, detect the hint of negativity in the first paragraph.
The media just can't bring themselves to give President Trump due credit...
This is from the CBS News website:
"SEOUL, South Korea -- Seoul said on Monday that the rival Koreas had begun removing mines and other explosives at two sites inside their heavily armed border as part of their recent tension-reduction steps. They will likely end up pulling out a very small portion of an estimated 2 million mines littered inside and near the 155-mile-long, 2.5-mile-wide Demilitarized Zone.

But it would be the two countries' first joint demining work in more than a decade and comes amid international diplomacy aimed at ridding North Korea of its nuclear weapons. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is expected to hold a new round of direct talks with his North Korean counterparts soon, and he's kept the prospect of a declaration officially ending the Korean War on the table."

New USMS Child Recovery Unit Recovers 123 Children During 1-Day Operation

The U.S. Marshals are on the job...
I found this on the U.S. Marshals website:
"The one-day initiative took place Sept. 26 throughout Wayne County. The USMS DMCRU coordinated with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, HUD-OIG, Detroit Police Department and the Michigan State Police and investigated missing child case files prior to the operation. Participating officers were given the case files and began investigating their whereabouts by visiting last known addresses, friend’s homes and schools in hopes of finding them in a safe place.

Out of 301 files of missing children, 123 were identified and recovered safely during the operation. All 123 children were physically located and interviewed -- standard protocol for the Michigan State Police. All of the children located were interviewed about potentially being sexually victimized or used in a sex trafficking ring during their period of time that they were deemed missing. Three cases were identified as being possible sex trafficking cases, and one homeless teen was transported back to the command post after it was discovered that he had not had anything to eat in three days. He was then debriefed and turned over to Child Protective Services for aftercare.

This is the first time an operation of this kind has been conducted in Wayne County. USMS DMCRU was requested to assist on 30 missing child cases two weeks prior to the sweep."

Killers, gang members, sex offenders: 525 off streets statewide

Law enforcement is on the job...
On the Clarion Ledger website, Therese Apel reported this:
"Dozens of suspected killers, rapists, robbers and drug dealers were off the streets. Around 150 gang members were arrested or validated by authorities as being affiliated with the Simon City Royals, Gangster Disciples, Latin Kings, Vice Lords, and the Aryan Brotherhood.

Over 200 registered sex offenders living within the state's Northern U.S. District were checked for compliance with registration requirements. Around 150 home visits were conducted on high- to moderate-risk offenders on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections and the U.S. Probation Service.

Overall, 255 violent offenders were picked up during Operation Triple Beam. They were wanted on charges including homicide, aggravated assault, sexual assault, illegal gun crimes, narcotics possession and distribution, robbery, arson, and sex offender registration violations."

Mental Health Professionals Denounce CNN and Don Lemon’s Show for Mocking and Stigmatizing Kanye West’s Hospitalization

CNN and Democrats (are they the same?) always attack on a personal level.
This occurrence is surely one of their worst examples ever.
Historically, personal attacks come into play when the factual argument is being lost...
Glenn Greenwald has the story on "the Intercept" website:
"On Monday night, CNN host Don Lemon led a panel discussion with three CNN commentators as they gleefully heaped scorn on Kanye West for meeting with President Trump to discuss prison reform and for otherwise expressing support for the President (the video is below). Among other things, West was pilloried for being both ignorant and exploited. 'Kanye West is what happens when Negroes don’t read,” CNN’s Bakari Sellers said. CNN’s Tara Setmayer pronounced him “the token Negro of the Trump administration.'

While those comments received some attention (only from conservative outlets, needless to say), the laughter-driven attacks on West for his well-publicized medical treatment for mental health issues were largely ignored. But those comments, broadcast in prime-time by CNN on television and then widely disseminated by the network on social media, were not just reprehensible, but genuinely dangerous."

Bloomberg: Trump Tariffs Not Costing U.S. Jobs as Free Traders Claimed

So, President Trump is right again.
Could it be that he really is smarter than the "experts"?...
John Binder reported this in a post on the Breitbart website:
"President Donald Trump’s tariffs on imported steel and aluminum are not costing American jobs as free traders had claimed they would, a new report by Bloomberg Businessweek admits.

For the last year, free trade organizations, the Chamber of Commerce, and the establishment media has claimed that Trump’s 25 percent tariffs on imported steel and ten percent tariff on imported aluminum would cost hundreds of thousands of jobs.

This year, the free trade apparatus claimed that there would be 430,000 American jobs wiped out by Trump’s tariffs. Now, free traders admit that the tariffs have not cost the U.S. any jobs."

The European Union Would Love to Control Your Internet Use

We are moving full speed toward an Orwellian world for sure...
Janet Levy has the story at Townhall.com:
"Imagine an internet in which users can't freely blog, parody, share material, or remix content – an online experience in which linking, code-sharing, and the unfettered use of art and images would be nearly impossible due to legal limitations. Unfortunately, this scenario – a restrictive internet culture – may soon be a reality in the European Union with the recent passage of the European Unions Copyright Directive.

This new E.U. decree, which includes provisions for filtering and surveillance, could have a chilling effect on internet creativity and innovation, potentially increase censorship, and impose new market barriers for businesses worldwide."

The Study Saying The U.S. Is The Mecca For Mass Shootings Was Just Taken To The Woodshed

The anti-gun advocates must truly believe that guns have magical powers...
Recently, at Townhall.com, Matt Vespa wrote about the latest study:
"Well, it’s another day, and another anti-gun study that’s shoddy. It comes with additional controversy since its author will not release his data or even open himself to questions about his work. In August, the Crime Prevention Research Center’s John Lott took to task an anti-gun study by Adam Lankford, who suggests the U.S. is the mecca for mass shootings, being the epicenter for 31 percent of them; all of this thanks to our rates of gun ownership. Again, it’s not the criminal’s fault; it’s all about the gun, which apparently has magic powers that forces people to commit acts of violence."

US Senate SCOTUS Hearing Points to Military Trials of Deep State Officials

When you connect the dots providd here, I guess anything is possible...
Dr. Michael Salla tells us about this at exopolitics.org. Here's a small part of it:
"Finally, in post 2093, QAnon points to Hillary Clinton (aka HRC) being in a panic suggesting that she is also likely to be subjected to military justice for both subversion and involvement in 'serious human rights abuse and corruption around the world'.

Since October 28, 2017, QAnon has been dropping breadcrumbs about human rights abuses and corruption by Deep State officials that have been subjected to secret grand jury investigations and indictments. The latest series of posts suggest that there is a definite countdown to when the secret indictments will be unsealed, and that the subsequent trials will involve some former public officials being subjected to military justice through Courts-Martial rather than Military Tribunals as previously thought.

The general public will learn for the first time the true extent of the criminal acts of Deep State officials when it comes to human rights abuses, corruption around the world, and the effort to subvert the incoming Trump administration. QAnon’s breadcrumbs only give a bare outline of facts that will deeply shock the general public as documentary evidence is publicly released for impending criminal and military trials."

Pelosi's "wrap-up smear" reads like template for Democrat attacks on Kavanaugh

This story got a lot of attention over the past weekend, BUT, probably not so much in the biased mainstream media...
"Fuzzy Slippers" posted about it on the LegalInsurrection website:
"As we continue to celebrate the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, it seems rather fitting that a video from a 2017 weekly presser is making the rounds. It shows House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) explaining to the assembled press what a “wrap-up smear” is and how it can be used to harm political opponents.

It reads like a template for the base and unfounded attacks on Justice Kavanaugh during—and after—his confirmation hearings.

Pelosi: They [Republicans] don’t want them [voters] to see that contrast, so they focus on something else. It’s a diversionary tactic. It’s a self-fulfilling prophesy, you demonize and then [trails off]. We call it the wrap-up smear. . . . You smear somebody with falsehoods and all the rest and then you merchandise it.

And then you [speaking to the press] write it, and they’ll say, see it’s reported in the press . . . so they have that validation that the press reported the smear, and then it’s called the ‘wrap-up smear.’ And now I’m going to merchandize the press’s report on the smear that we made. [Shrugging and smirking] It’s a tactic. And it’s, it’s self-evident.

Let’s review:"

Harvard Case Could End Affirmative Discrimination

Considering the implications, this should be a very interesting case...

Corker, Menendez Scuttle Efforts to Block Funding for Afghan Forces Abusing Boys

I have to side with Senator Rand Paul on this one...
Here's a part of an article by Kristina Wong at Breitbart.com:
"Paul told other members, according to a transcript of the business meeting first obtained by Breitbart News: 'I think that the committee is right to be gravely concerned with sexual trafficking and abuse of young people around the world in a variety of countries. I think we shouldn’t turn a blind eye towards when our allies are responsible for this, as well.'

Specifically, Paul referred to the common Afghan practice of 'bacha bazi' — or using boys as young as 10 years old for sex. Some U.S. troops who have deployed to Afghanistan have tried to stop instances of sexual abuse when they have come across it, but have been punished for doing so, according to reports.

He brought up the case of former Army Special Forces Capt. Dan Quinn, who beat up an Afghan commander for keeping an approximately 10-year-old boy chained to his bed as a sex slave and beating up his mother when she tried to rescue him. Quinn was relieved of command as a result."

This looks like it might be interesting.
That being said, if true, it would expose that these officials don't know the law at all...
Marina Medvin included this in her post at Townhall.com:
"Kamenar's arguments can be summarized as follows: no matter how you look at Mueller's appointment, it was done unconstitutionally. According to Kamenar's brief, there are a few constitutionally permissible options for lawfully appointing Social Counsel, but Mueller's appointment did not follow any of these legal avenues."

Ryan Lizza's Hit Piece On Devin Nunes' Family Is Deeply Flawed

The media has lost all dignity and respect...
On theFederalist website, Mollie Hemingway wrote about this and closed with:
"The article was premised on the idea that family members — family members! — of a journalist’s political opponent should be stalked and threatened. It framed publicly known information as a nefarious secret. It mischaracterized the views of the politician in question. And even if it obscured the reporter’s troubled sexual history, other journalists should have enough memory of the last year to wonder whether his high-profile #MeToo firing played a role in town residents’ concern.

Unless there is a very good reason, distant family members of politicians should be off limits for hit pieces. At a time when many Americans are concerned about the ethics of journalists, there is no need to give them ammunition for their concern. And the attaboys from fellow journalists only confirm people’s worst suspicions about journalists and their ability to enforce norms of decency and fairness."

Lawsuit Seeks To Expose Billionaire Pedophile Ring Involving 'Prominent US Politicians..World Leaders'

Here's hoping that all of the "elite" people involved get exposed and punished.
For far too long their status and money has allowed them to get away with bad stuff...
On the Free Thought Project website, Derrick Broze recently provided this and more:
"The upcoming trial relates to an ongoing legal battle between Epstein and lawyer Bradley Edwards. In 2008, Edwards successfully sued Epstein on behalf of women who claimed he paid them to massage while he masturbated. All of the women were teenagers at the time.

Court records indicate there may have been up to 40 teenage victims. Despite these disturbing facts, Epstein was offered a non-prosecution agreement which allowed him to plead guilty to the lesser charge of soliciting a minor for prostitution and soliciting prostitution. He was ordered to pay multi-million dollar settlements to victims and sentenced to 18 months in jail, of which he only served 13.

Epstein was allowed to stay in the Palm Beach County Jail in his own private cell where he was allowed to leave the prison six days a week for 'work release'. Epstein was forced to register as a sex offender for life, but with his money and his connections he doesn’t seem too bothered. He currently resides on his private island in the Virgin Islands."

Prosecutor's Senate Report: 9 Reasons Why Christine Blasey Ford Not Credible

I don't really know how all of this will turn out; however, the "story" being labeled "credible" has many, many discrepancies...
John Nolte wrote about it (lots of examples) on Breitbart.com:
"Rachel Mitchell, the veteran sex crimes prosecutor chosen by Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee to question Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh, has filed a report that points out Ford’s inconsistencies and apparent deceptions.

'In the legal context, here is my bottom line,' she writes. 'A ‘he said, she said’ case is incredibly difficult to prove. But this case is even weaker than that. I do not think that a reasonable prosecutor would bring this case based on the evidence.'

She adds, 'Nor do I believe that this evidence is sufficient to satisfy the preponderance-of-the-evidence standard.' This means Ford’s story does not reach the 50-50 level of more likely than not."

Bring Back Shame

A great idea; however, I suspect this horse has left the barn...
Eileen F. Toplansky recently wrote about it in her post at AmericanThinker.com:
"Consider how America has lost an awareness of the value of shame. As defined, shame is a 'painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior.' James B. Twitchell in his 1997 book For Shame: The Loss of Common Decency in American Culture asserts that 'we are living in shameless times,' as compared to when he was growing up in the 1950s, when 'public drunkenness, filing for bankruptcy ... drug addiction, hitting a woman, looting stores, using vulgar language in public, being on the public dole [and] getting a divorce' were considered shameful, and 'most of these reflected concerns about limiting individual behavior within a group.'"
