"Counter-Terrorism Advice from Someone Who Knows What He's Talking About"
At American Thinker.com, Jamie Hope discusses the opinions of Anthony Mele:
"Mele is founder and president of AMI Global Security and is an international security consultant. He holds an MA in diplomacy and international conflict management and is a U.S. Army veteran, which includes outstanding assignments with the 3rd U.S. Infantry (The Old Guard), Defense Intelligence Agency, Intelligence Security Command, United States military training mission to Saudi Arabia-Tabuk Detachment, Pentagon Tele-Communications Command, and Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Army intelligence at the Pentagon.
He is highly decorated, including the Army Commendation Medal, 1st OLC for heroism, Meritorious Service Medal, Good Conduct Medals, and recognition pins from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Marshall's Service, U.S. Secret Service, and U.S. Congress."

"Obama Is Not Who We Are"
At AmericanThiker.com, Clarice Feldman takes issue with Mr. Obama;s constant use of "it's not who we are":
"Allow me to turn the tables and point out some of the multiple instances when Obama’s actions are not what we are. I know there are many others, but these stand out in my mind right now."

Twenty-Five Years of Helping Foreigners Take American Jobs | PJ Media
Ian Smith sums up his well written explanation of the H-1B guestworker program with this:
"The 1990 act cemented in place the corporatization of our immigration system, producing disastrous externalities ever since. Cutting wages by artificially expanding the labor supply increases private wealth at the public’s expense, acting like a highly regressive tax on the lower and middle classes.
Two and a half decades of this 'immigration tax' has doubtlessly attributed to today’s growing income inequality with over half the nation now earning less than $30,000 a year. What will we be the state of American labor if we let the immigration status quo persist for another 25 years? For the American worker and our tech professionals in particular, true reform of our immigration system cannot wait."
"DHS Redefines Term 'Resident Expert' As Their Resident Expert Is Unable To Answer Basic Questions"
The incompetence of government is astounding...
At Patterico.com, "Dana" shares this gem:
"This past week, Dept. of Homeland Security Deputy Assistant Secretary for Screening Coordination, Kelli Ann Burriesci testified before Congress about the Syrian refugees and the visa waiver program. She was sent by DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson to testify in his stead because, according to the DHS, she is their 'resident expert' in the programs. Unfortunately, said resident expert was unable to answer even the most basic questions about who is entering our country:"

"Illegal Aliens Busted in Cloned Border Patrol Vehicle"
Wonder how many of you saw this news?...
Bob Price posted about it at Breitbart.com:
"The vehicle was painted to look like a Tahoe regularly used by the U.S. Border Patrol. It did not have any overhead lights normally found on the vehicles. It did; however, have a light bar mounted on the dashboard and the rear view mirror had been removed. It appears the rear seats may have been removed in order to stuff more people into the vehicle."
"France suffered more casualties (murders and injuries) from mass public shootings in 2015 than the US has suffered during Obama’s entire presidency"
The Crime Prevention Research Center recently reported on this:
"Yet, despite the impression that President Obama has been creating, France suffered more casualties (murders and injuries) from mass public shootings in 2015 than the US has suffered during Obama’s entire presidency (Updated 524 to 428).
Note that these numbers don’t adjust for the fact that the US has 4.9 times the population of France. The per capita rate of casualties in France is thus 7.95 per million and for the US it is 1.34 — France’s per capita rate of casualties is thus 5.93 times higher than the rate in the US."

"I can’t blame USA for not letting Muslim family travel to Disney"
It seems to counter to the supposed outrage of refusing this "family" a trip to Disneyland...
The U.K. Daily Mail's Katie Hopkins has much more beginning with this:
"If I had been playing my usual game of ‘spot the terrorist’ at the airport, (beard -5 points, rucksack – 10 points, sandals – 5 points – be honest, you’ve all done it) I’d have been feeling a little anxious.
Without any way of knowing the truth, this is what I’d have been asking myself; where were the mothers of these 9 children? Was it just that the women’s place was in the home? Were they too female to fly? Or were they not needed for this family’s final destination?
So if Homeland Security were suspicious about the fact there were no mothers in the group, who can entirely blame them? And then there’s their address in Waltham Forest, a known hotbed of extremism
Anjem Choudary - Britain's loudest extremist hate speaker - came from Waltham Forest."

"Facing Investigations, DOJ Claims the Right to Avoid Investigations"
I think this should worry ALL of us, including the liberal, biased media, who don't appear to be reporting about it...
At PJmedia.com, Hans von Spakovsky and John-Michael Seibler have gotten together on this story:
"Attorney General Loretta Lynch has no intention of reversing the Justice Department’s defiance of the Inspector General Act. She made that clear during a House Judiciary oversight hearing last month. Indeed, her own Office of Legal Counsel has issued a badly flawed opinion that insists DOJ and FBI officials can, at their discretion, withhold information from the Justice Department’s inspector general -- the individual tasked by Congress with investigating those very same officials.
This is an all too 'transparent' continuation of the administration’s habit of trying to hide what the government is doing from Congress, the public, the media, and those who are supposed to be policing the executive branch."

"Epic Campaign Moment In Michigan – Donald Trump Calls Out Individual Camera Operators To Show The Crowd"
Mr. Trump knows that...
At theConservativeTreehouse website, "sundance" calls attention to this one:
"We have recently noted exactly why Donald Trump asks the media to pan the crowd, and the ideological reasoning the MSM production staff refuse to comply.
However, ... tonight in Michigan -for the first time- candidate Donald Trump called out the camera operators individually. An epic moment ensued:"
"AP: San Bernardino Terrorist Massacre Was a 'Mass Shooting'"
The "politically correct" crowd, politicians, and the media purposefully misname everything.
I'm reminded of the (joke) "Affordable Care Act"...
Tom Blumer reported on this occurrence at NewsBusters.org:
"Pity the poor folks at the Associated Press, aka the Administration's Press. The Obama administration, usually hyper-reluctant to characterize a domestic terrorist attack on U.S. soil as, well, a domestic terrorist attack, has actually had to admit in the face of overwhelming evidence that the San Bernardino massacre on December 2, during which 14 were killed and two dozen injured, was indeed a terrorist attack. Failing to adapt at sufficient speed, the headline writers, tweeters and Obama fans disguised as journalists at the AP, so used to avoiding the T-word at all costs, have made fools of themselves."

The media is corrupt and biased, resulting in being misleading about almost everything...
At theHill.com, Patrick Maines recently had a post about this:
"Can there be any further doubt that we have now come to a time when the rightward half of the country perceives much of the mainstream media (the broadcast networks, big city newspapers, etc.) to be carriers of Democratic and/or left-leaning news and opinion? The media deny this, but their denials — indeed, the very idea that the way to address this matter is to deny or contest it — change nothing. The bottom line is that perhaps one-half of the potential audience for these media outlets holds negative opinions about them."
Why Donald Trump Says: “Pan The Crowds”… | The Last Refuge

"Liberals need to stop flattering Islam and ask tough questions instead"
In a recent New York Post article, Amir Taheri offered some answers to this:
"Why do so many Muslims hate Americans to the point of wanting to massacre them in their offices as in 9/11 or at a Christmas Party at San Bernardino — despite the fact that the United States is the only major power in modern times to offer Muslims a helping hand when they needed it?"

Will Elites Blow Up the GOP? | RealClearPolitics
These points seem well made to me...
At RealClearPolitics.com, Patrick Buchanan closing his article, basically about Republicans, with this:
"It was the elites of both parties who failed to secure our borders and brokered the trade deals that have de-industrialized America and eviscerated our middle class.
It was the elites of both parties who got us into these idiotic wars that have blown up the Middle East, cost us trillions of dollars, thousands of dead, and tens of thousands of wounded among our best and bravest.
That Republican elites would sit around a dinner table on Capitol Hill and discuss how to frustrate the rising rebellion against what they have done to America, and decide among themselves who shall lead us, is astonishing"

"Obama Made it Easier for Islamic State to Use Fiance' Visas"
Chriss W. Street recently reported this and more at Breitbart.com:
"ISIS can export jihadis to the United States–such as Tashfeen Malik, who killed 14 in San Bernardino–by going online and arranging 90-day fiancé visas for as little as $375.
Since 2009, President Barack Obama’s deputies have streamlined the process so that it can all be accomplished completely online–without any face-to-face check with a U.S. embassy official.
There were 24,486,536 tourist, business and other arrivals in the U.S. from residents of the 38 friendly nations on the U.S. Visa Waiver Program. Since Obama took office, the number of visas issued per year to non-friendly, non-waiver residents has jumped by over 50 percent to 9,932,480 last year."

Excluding that, we done this type of thing many times before to protect the country...
At WND.com, Patrick J. Buchanan ponders the current outrage over Donald Trump's suggested action plan:
"Calling for a moratorium on Muslim immigration 'until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on,' Donald Trump this week ignited a firestorm of historic proportions.
As all the old hate words – xenophobe, racist, bigot – have lost their electric charge from overuse, Trump was being called a fascist demagogue and compared to Hitler and Mussolini.
The establishment seemed to have become unhinged.
Why the hysteria? Comes the reply: Trump’s call for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration tramples all over 'American values' and everything we stand for, including the Constitution. But is this really true?"

Michelle Malkin | Vetting Obama’s witless vetters at DHS
On her website, Michelle Malkin tells it exactly as it is and more:
"Gaping holes in the K1 fiance visa interview process. Reckless bans on scrutinizing visa applicants’ social media posts. Ignored alarms over marriage fraud. New details keep seeping out about all the “red flags” Obama’s immigration officials missed in the case of the San Bernardino jihadists.
Color me unshocked. The American public and Capitol Hill politicians should have been more vigilant about vetting Obama’s vetters in the first place. What do you expect when you put crony know-nothings, political hacks and identity politics zealots in charge of our safety?"

Many, in many countries, have sacrificed much to insure the right to speak freely.
There was once a prevailing idea of disagreeing with what was said while defending the right to say it...

Jihadi Bride Passed 3 Visa Background Checks | The Daily Caller
Are our borders too big to be managed effectively?...
At DailyCaller.com, Ross expounds on this:
"Tashfeen Malik, the Pakistani woman who killed 14 people with her husband in San Bernardino earlier this month, openly advocated violent jihad on her social media accounts before coming to the U.S., but government officials approved her fiancee visa anyway, The New York Times reports."
"Ben Sasse's 'maiden' Senate speech an honest talk about fake debate"
Could this be a Senator to actually believe in?...
In the Washington Times, Charles Hurt shares this story that we all likely missed:
"When was the last time you heard a sitting politician give a speech that made you stop and think? A speech where you actually learned something? When was the last time you heard a vicious excoriation of Washington and Congress and the whole federal government, yet saw the first glimmer of hope that perhaps all is not already completely lost?
Sen. Ben Sasse, Nebraska Republican, delivered his first speech on the Senate floor Tuesday afternoon, one year to the day since being elected in his first bid for public office. All of his fellow freshmen have long since delivered their 'maiden' speeches.
But Ben Sasse waited."

"Why liberal media hate Trump"
So, they don't like being exposed for what they are...
At WND.com, Patrick J. Buchanan shares some insights and opinions:
"Yet, when they demand he apologize, Trump doubles down. And when they demand that Republicans repudiate him, the GOP base replies:
“Who are you to tell us whom we may nominate? You are not friends. You are not going to vote for us. And the names you call Trump – bigot, racist, xenophobe, sexist – are the names you call us, nothing but cuss words that a corrupt establishment uses on those it most detests.”
What the Trump campaign reveals is that, to populists and Republicans, the political establishment and its media arm are looked upon the way the commons and peasantry of 1789 looked upon the ancien regime and the king’s courtiers at Versailles."
Climate Change Fraudster | The American Spectator
I'd say Mr. Stein has this quite right...
I pulled these two paragraphs from Ben Stein's Diary as posted on the American Spectator website:
"We have a President who is utterly incapable of taking charge of the security needs of America, failing at Iran, failing at Russia, failing at the Islamic State, failing as the education system collapses. We have a generation or two of young people who do not fight in wars, do not learn a darned thing in schools, but fancy themselves warriors because they play computer games against imaginary foes, in a milieu in which they cannot possibly be injured or killed.
Mr. Obama and his climate change war are like those video game wars. He cannot get hurt, because he’s fighting an imaginary foe, or even if it’s a real foe, Mr. Obama will be long gone from the scene by the time the very slightest results are seen. He cannot touch ISIS. He will not stand up to Iran even when Iran spits in our face. But he sure can fight against fossil fuels, which cannot fight back, with the media and the college kids blocking and tackling for him. He can paint himself as Lancelot when he’s more like Quixote."

This is clearly a case of "cross border; go on welfare".

On the Daily Caller website, Jacob Bojesson has this story:
"Ludger Woessmann, a professor of economics at the University of Munich, tells German magazine Zeit 65 percent of Syrian refugees fail to meet international standards on basic reading and writing skills. Just 10 percent of the one million arrivals in the country this year have a college degree, which may force unemployment rates and demand for social welfare to rapidly go up.
'With two-thirds of young Syrians who must be regarded as functionally illiterate in accordance with international educational standards, so the necessary training to run local businesses is mostly missing,' Woessmann says."

"PC Suppression of Public Concerns Fuels the Trump Phenomenon"
Victor Davis Hanson includes this in his post at NationalReview.com:
The public no longer respects U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the IRS, the VA, or the GSA. Even the once-hallowed Secret Service has become a near laughingstock of incompetency, corruption, and politicization. Is the purpose of NASA really Muslim outreach, as NASA chief Charles Bolden suggested in 2010?
The world that we are told about by our government bears no resemblance to what we see and hear every day.
President Obama has exacerbated this current disconnect between the public and its officials. In unserious fashion, he shares his selfies, parades his annual Final Four picks, and jets off to Los Angeles to appear on late-night talk shows, even as he hectors Americans in sermons about their Islamophobia, their carbon footprints, their immigration xenophobia, and their gun obsessions."
FDR Was Trump on Steroids | The American Spectator
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, President Roosevelt issued proclamations regarding Germans, Italians, and Japanese residing in the U.S...
At Spectator.org, Jeffrey Lord writes about the history and what it meant to those people:
"Nationwide, approximately 600,000 Italian-born residents of the United States were declared enemy aliens. The term 'enemy alien' was not unique to World War II. The classification traces its roots to the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which stated that if the United States was at war with a country then any 'natives, citizens, denizens, or subjects of the hostile nation' residing in the United States who were not naturalized citizens were considered 'enemy aliens.' In the weeks following the bombing of Pearl Harbor, enemy aliens were ordered to surrender cameras, short-wave radios and radio transmitters. Other contraband items were flashlights, boats, binoculars and weapons, including hunting rifles. Enemy aliens were prohibited from traveling outside of a five-mile radius of their homes, even for employment, and were banned from entering 'strategic areas' such as power stations and airports. In San Francisco, Giuseppe DiMaggio, father of baseball great Joe DiMaggio, could not visit his son’s restaurant because it was located in a prohibited zone."

Trump is not a politician. He is a revolutionary leading a revolution against two of the most hated, corrupt and dangerous intuitions in this country: the elite political class and a rotted, fat, comfortable, left-wing DC Media that has set the politically correct rules for presidential campaigns in such a way that our country is falling apart.

Meanwhile: in the U.K. there is Katie Hopkins
Unfortunately, the facts (when they finally come out) seem to make him correct...
Katie Hopkins writes for the U.K. Daily Mail. She is a long way from politically correct:
"Trump said: ‘We have places in London so radicalised that police are afraid for their lives.'
Within moments the Met Police, Prime Minister David Cameron, and the clownish Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, jumped to defend the reputation of the UK and distance themselves from this glaring truth.
Yet, at the time of writing, no less than five bobbies on the beat have come forward to confirm that there ARE estates where they will only patrol out of uniform.
There is fear among the police AND the public.
In part we ARE a radicalised nation and it does nobody any favours to deny the obvious
I work with a team of cameramen in town who text their wives and partners on the hour to confirm they are safe.
My family is not keen for me to be in the capital.
Some friends will no longer come to London."
"Obama’s use of ISIL reveals his true allegiance, and animus towards Israel"
On his website, Allen West offers this:
"This week I listened to two Obama administration spokesmen, Josh 'Not So' Earnest from the White House, and Rear Admiral Kirby from the Pentagon in relation to the Islamic terrorist army freely operating in Iraq and Syria. These two individuals and many other voices out of the Obama administration refer to them as ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant). The group has professed the establishment of an Islamic caliphate and refers to itself as IS (Islamic State). The manner in which we should all be referring to this savage and barbaric group is ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria).
Why should that matter? What are words for? First, if you choose to refer to this group as ISIL, you have basically rewritten the map of the Middle East and fallen into the trap of not recognizing the existence of Israel and also Lebanon. If you use ISIL you are then validating the Islamic totalitarian and jihadist claim that the modern day Jewish State of Israel is an occupation state and does not exist in the eyes of Muslims."

"New Benghazi Email Shows DOD Offered State Department “Forces that Could Move to Benghazi” Immediately – Specifics Blacked Out in New Document"
This conclusion is from the end of a Judicial Watch post on their own website:
"“The Obama administration and Clinton officials hid this compelling Benghazi email for years,' said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. 'The email makes readily apparent that the military was prepared to launch immediate assistance that could have made a difference, at least at the CIA Annex. The fact that the Obama Administration withheld this email for so long only worsens the scandal of Benghazi.”"
Few Extremists in Islam -- That's a Myth | National Review Online
The underlying goal of Islam is to be the world's ONLY religion.
With that in mind, how can you possibly think it means tolerance and coexistence?...
With that in mind, how can you possibly think it means tolerance and coexistence?...
David French puts to rest the myth at National Review:
"It is simply false to declare that jihadists represent the 'tiny few extremists' who sully the reputation of an otherwise peace-loving and tolerant Muslim faith. In reality, the truth is far more troubling — that jihadists represent the natural and inevitable outgrowth of a faith that is given over to hate on a massive scale, with hundreds of millions of believers holding views that Americans would rightly find revolting. Not all Muslims are hateful, of course, but so many are that it’s not remotely surprising that the world is wracked by wave after wave of jihadist violence.
To understand the Muslim edifice of hate, imagine it as a pyramid — with broadly-shared bigotry at the bottom, followed by stair steps of escalating radicalism — culminating in jihadist armies that in some instances represent a greater share of their respective populations than does the active-duty military in the United States."
"Planned Parenthood was ‘right wing terror,’ but with Islam suddenly ‘motives don’t matter’"
The outrageous and obvious biased reporting of the media marches on...
In the New York Post, Paul Sperry recently made this comparison:
"Last month, when a Colorado Christian entered a Planned Parenthood clinic and fatally shot three people, the mainstream media rushed to make the connection to 'right-wing domestic terrorism,' even though police hadn’t made any connection and the evidence was thin.
When two California Muslims shot up a government office several days later, massacring 14, national journalists refused to call it Islamic terrorism even though evidence of the shooters’ motive was overwhelming.
Two mass shootings, two completely different standards of coverage."

"American Muslim Man Tries To Hijack Plane And Crash It Down, Screaming, "I Want To Meet Allah", Two Christian Men Then Tackle Him Down And Beat Him Up"
Theodore Shoebat posted this story:
"An American Muslim man of Jordanian descent tried to hijack a German plan and crash it down, screaming 'I want to meet Allah,' but luckily a group of Eastern Orthodox Christian men from Serbia took him down and beat him up. He first knocked on the door and tried to get inside, when they did not open the door, he began to try to smash it open, screaming, 'I want to meet my god (Allah)!'. He then threatened to open one of the doors of the plane. The Muslim also said that he wanted to take all of the passengers 'to Allah.' The attacker held a US passport and went by the name 'Laken.' The plane was a German Lufthansa airliner, flying from Frankfurt to Belgrade. Here is the photo of the Muslim, which we received from our Balkans correspondent:"

Under these circumstances I'm not seeing action.

I'm seeing "talk-is-cheap" stuff...
At NationalReview.com, Jim Geraghty criticizes Mr. Obama:
"At this point in his presidency, Obama speaks with only one tone, the slightly exasperated and sometimes not-merely-slightly exasperated 'adult in the room' who constantly has to correct his fellow Americans, who are always flying off the handle, calling for options that 'aren’t who we are,' betraying our values, and so on. He’s always so disappointed in us.
At certain points, Obama sounded as if he was speaking to children. 'The threat is real, but we will overcome it.' 'We will not defeat it with tough talk, abandoning our values, or giving in to fear.' 'We will prevail by being strong and smart.'"

Isn't that a heartening (sarcasm) thought?...
This is an excerpt from a Tori Bedford interview of Congressman Stephen Lynch as posted on the WGBHnews website:
"Back in August, we did an investigation—the inspector General did—of the Department of Homeland Security, and they had 72 individuals that were on the terrorist watch list that were actually working at the Department of Homeland Security. The director had to resign because of that. Then we went further and did and eight-airport investigation. We had staffers go into eight different airports to test the department of homeland security screening process at major airports. They had a 95 percent failure rate. We had folks—this was a testing exercise, so we had folks going in there with guns on their ankles, and other weapons on their persons, and there was a 95 percent failure rate."

San Francisco Is Needle City | The American Spectator
San Francisco gave away 2.4 million syringes last year. This is NOT a misprint...
At Spectator.org, Debra J. Saunders has this story:
"Under the new order, San Francisco Department of Public Health spokeswoman Rachael Kagan explained, 'you don’t need a needle to get a needle.' Users who show up at a 'syringe access' center can get a “starter kit” of 20 needles. If they want more than 20 needles, they have to present used needles. I walked into a nearby facility and walked away with my own starter kit in a discreet plain brown bag.
San Francisco now asks users to leave their discarded syringes in drop boxes at public toilets, pharmacies, and clinics. I got a 'sharps' disposal box with my 20-needle kit. Alas, there’s another oft-used disposal venue — city streets and sidewalks. If you walk around the city, then you’ve seen the used needles."

"STUDY: If Sweden And Germany Became US States They’d Be Among POOREST In the Country"
On the Gateway Pundit weebsite, "Aleister" reports otherwise:
"The next time a progressive tells you socialism works, just point to Germany, Sweden, Greece, the Netherlands and the rest of Europe which is failing in the global economy. In this new study, it turns out that if European countries were to become states in America, they’d be among the poorest in the country, even surpassing Mississippi."
"When will our leaders face up to the truth that the EU is a gigantic sham?"
Some, like this one, are direct and hard hitting...
In the U.K. Telegraph, Janet Daley begins her writing with this:
"What is left of the European idea? Whatever indeterminate reassurances emerge from however many EU 'summits' on security and shared intelligence, everybody must know that Paris was the end.
The disastrously uncoordinated response to the refugee crisis had already discredited the notion that this was a unified federation in which all member states had an equal voice. The grand verbiage of solidarity and cooperation simply dissolved when faced with a global humanitarian disaster – precisely the sort of event which the whole edifice was originally constructed to avert. And then, with Paris, it became horrifyingly obvious that the open borders policy – the most sacred of the EU founding principles – was unsustainable. As Abdelhamid Abaaoud and his army of butchers had clearly known all along, and the migrant-traffickers were able to promise their desperate customers, once you set foot on the holy ground of Europe you may as well be invisible."

"Now We Have The Border Fence, Our Town Is One Of The Safest In Europe"
Hmmm.
Isn't there a saying "good fences; do good neighbors make"?...
Isn't there a saying "good fences; do good neighbors make"?...
AT Breitbart News, Oliver Lane brings us up to date about Hungary's border fence:
"Praising the remarkable success of the Hungarian border fence, which reduced daily illegal migrant incursions from some 10,000 a day to 30 in just the space of a week, mayor László Toroczkai acknowledged the fence hadn’t actually solved the European migrant crisis. Instead, blocking Hungary off had just shifted the migratory stream westwards to Slovenia.
This is not an insurmountable problem for mayor Toroczkai — the rest of Europe just needs to take a leaf out of Hungary’s book. Speaking in the short action-packed film — the second his office has released about the migrant crisis — Mr. Toroczkai said: “…the problem has not ceased to exist, because the leaders of the European Union don’t want to follow our example. The number of illegal migrants who are entering Europe without being checked or controlled is increasing, only they avoid Hungary now."
Patterico's Pontifications Proposition 47: It’s Cool!
On his blog, Patterico includes these comments from a repeat offender:
"Sina said he rejoiced when he first heard about Proposition 47. He said he didn’t start stealing bicycles until the proposition raised the threshold for a felony theft to $950. 'Proposition 47, it’s cool,' Sina said. 'Like for me, I can go do a [commercial] burglary and know that if it’s not over $900, they’ll just give me a ticket and let me go.;"

"Sheriff Pays Out of Own Pocket for 'Politically Incorrect' Sign"
Warner Todd Huston has this story at Breitbart.com:
"A Georgia Sheriff is defending the controversial sign he posted outside his Harris County offices warning people that if they don’t like traditional phrases such as 'Merry Christmas' or 'In god We Trust,' then they should leave the county."
Patterico's Pontifications A Tale of Two Universities
Patterico recently offered the entire letter as a comparison to another. This is only the closing:
"Oklahoma Wesleyan is not a 'safe place', but rather, a place to learn: to learn that life isn’t about you, but about others; that the bad feeling you have while listening to a sermon is called guilt; that the way to address it is to repent of everything that’s wrong with you rather than blame others for everything that’s wrong with them. This is a place where you will quickly learn that you need to grow up! This is not a day care. This is a university!"
