Liberal college kids love Bernie's new tax plan! ....And then they find out it's actually Trump's | Herman Cain
I've long been a believer that many, if not most protestors are clueless, and that protesting is more social than it is informed outrage...
On Herman Cain's website, Robert Laurie makes an important point:
"I do find the following clip fascinating. In it, politically minded college liberals praise Trump's tax plan - because they think it belongs to Bernie Sanders.
Their knee-jerk reaction perfectly illustrates a couple of things. First, it points out that these young, supposedly-engaged leftists have no idea what they're talking about. You don't need to be a hardcore policy wonk to know that this is Trump's plan. Anyone who's seen a newscast in the last month should be able to peg these as Trump talking points. Second, it shows that identity politics has all but consumed the modern political debate. The merits of ideas are irrelevant - all that matters is the (D), (R), or (I) after the politician’s name."
