"30,000 Surveillance Cameras Monitor D.C.-Area Public Schools"
That being said, plain old math (50 cameras times 600 schools equals 30,000).
That's really pretty many...
At NBC Washington D.C., Scott MacFarlane recently reported on this:
"The cameras offer video footage for use in solving crimes or investigating security incidents inside buildings.
But the images have grown too numerous to regularly monitor by security staffs, the News4 review showed."
