"Britain should have voted against 'crazy' EU rule on serving olive oil, say MPs"
The European Union wants to control every aspect of life.
It does make you wonder...
In the U.K. Daily Telegraph, Bruno Waterfield and Rowena Mason write about this:
"James Clappison, MP for Hartsmere and a member of the European scrutiny committee, said the ban seemed 'crazy', adding: 'It is an example of how we are swamped with regulation.'
'Our officials can only deal with so much and this clearly got past them. It is no business of the EU how restaurants serve olive oil. All to often we have to go along with these things solely because officials are swamped on so many fronts.'"
