In the Wall Street Journal Magazine, Jen Murphy writes:
"As the state’s youngest governor ever, and the first woman to hold state office in Alaska, Sarah Palin, 45 years old, is weathering her state’s recent unsavory political storms with plenty of head-clearing exercise. Palin, who took office in December 2006, has always been a runner. Her parents were marathoners and high school track and cross-country coaches. 'Running was a family affair,' she says. 'I didn’t have much choice. Thankfully, I’ve never tired of it.'"
