National View: Trump's tariffs working, creating factory and manufacturing jobs

Here's an opinion column from a middle American news source.
The biased anti-Trump media will never report this good news...
In the Duluth News Tribune, Jeff Ferry reports what's really going on:
"An interesting thing is happening right now in America's industrial heartland. Manufacturers are adding new workers at a brisk pace. And it's happening right in front of the very pundits and free-trade economists who predicted economic catastrophe over the past year. Simply put, President Donald Trump's tariffs are working. U.S. manufacturing employment has now shown year-on-year growth of more than 250,000 employees for six consecutive months. That's the largest and most sustained manufacturing job growth since 1998. In fact, the U.S. added 32,000 manufacturing jobs in October alone, for a total of 296,000 new factory jobs since October 2017."

Bernstein: Media Should Edit President Trump's Press Conferences Before Airing

This article explains it all quite well.
The media clearly doesn't want President Trump to have unfiltered connections to the American public (We the People)...
Joseph Curl reported on this at DailyWire.com.:
"Famed Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein doesn't think the media have enough control over President Trump, so he's offering a radical idea: Don't broadcast his press conferences live. That way, Bernstein says, the media can decide 'what is news,' and edit everything else out."

German mother could face prosecution for posting picture of daughter's 'dark skinned' sex attacker on Facebook

This is the world Germans live in...
Stan M. posted about this at VoiceOfEurope.com:
"The police further stated that the release of picture without the consent of the pictured person is a crime and will be prosecuted. The public search with a picture is in the authority of police only through a court order. Voices claiming the police protect foreign criminals will only be amplified by the police statement, which ended by stating that even sharing the post could constitute a release of the pictures and could therefore be considered a crime."

The Frightful Cost of Virginia Offshore Wind

How do these things that taxpayers must pay for keep happening?...
Steve Goreham reported on this at WattsUpWithThat.com:
"The project, named Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW), will be the first offshore wind project in the mid-Atlantic. Dominion Energy and Orsted A/S of Denmark will erect two 6-megawatt wind turbines supplied by Siemens Gamesa of Spain. The estimated project cost is a staggering $300 million, to be paid for in the electricity bills of Virginia businesses and households.

According to the Wind Technologies Market Report, US wind turbine market prices in 2016 were just under $1,000 per kilowatt, or about $6 million for a 6-megawatt turbine. Virginia will pay 25 times the US market price for the CVOW turbines.

The wholesale price for electricity in Virginia is about 3 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh). This is the price received by coal, natural gas, or nuclear generating facilities. The electricity produced from the two offshore turbines will receive 78 cents per kWh, or a staggering 26 times the wholesale price."

The Doomsday Cult

My opinion: climate change has happened long before humans.
Clearly, there's still money to be made, so the "marketing scheme" continues...
At Townhall.com, Derek Hunter has this and more to say:
"The end is near, we’re all going to die. Unless, that is, we empower government to control more of the economy and our lives. It’s a standard trick of the left – predict doom and gloom in the future in an attempt to scare the Hell out of people while promising to avoid it if we let them get their way. While this could apply to nearly anything Democrats are pushing on any given day, this week it’s about global cooling. I mean, global warming. Er, scratch that, climate change…for now, at least."

Experts on Feds' Climate Change Report: ‘Every Conclusion' Is 'False'

The idea human activities are causing climate change is still around in spite of fact based opposing views...
At Breitbart.com, Penny Starr recently wrote about it:
"'This report from the climate alarmist Deep State in our government is even more hysterical than some United Nations reports,” Huelskamp noted. “The idea that global temperatures could rise as much as 12 degrees in the next 80 years is absurd and not a shred of actual data and observation supports that.' 'This report is a scientific embarrassment,' Jay Lehr, science director at the Heartland Institute, said. “Not only does it rely on computer models to predict the climate through the end of the century, it relies on computer models from five years ago that have been laughably wrong, failing to get even close to reality since 2013.” Lehr said the report is filled with 'blatantly absurd conclusions' designed to put more money and power into the hands of the United Nations."

Florida: Largest food stamp fraud bust in history, $20M, Muslim store owners arrested

Another abuse of a government program...
This was reported on the tapainfo.com website:
"South Florida reached another fraud milestone for what the Justice Department called 'the largest combined financial fraud loss for a food stamp trafficking takedown in history.' That dubious new record, federal prosecutors claim, is $20 million and resulted in a dozen charged with doing the government dirty via food stamp fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The 12 charged over four cases are Hasan Saleh, 59, Mohammed Alobaisi, 37, Reynold Francois, 38, Ihab Hassouna, 44, Mohammad Alteen, 33, Maria Jerdana, 36, Joe Ann Baker, 56, Yousef “Joe” Homedan Zahran, 60, Omar Hajje, 43, Jalal Hajyousef, 42, Andy Javier Herrera, 24, and father Javier Herrera, 49."

Conservatives Slam Judge for Blocking Genital Mutilation Charges

Well, I'm joining that public outcry...
Neil Monro recently reported on tis at Breitbart.com:
"A federal judge is facing a public outcry after he threw out federal charges against several Muslims who are suspected of cutting girls’ genitals to minimize future sexual desires. 'Outrageous,' said a tweet from Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a U.S.-based advocate, who was born in Somalia and underwent Somalia’s severe form of the Islamic practice, dubbed FGM for Female Genital Mutilation. 'Cutting girls genitals is a crime and must be prosecuted,' she added."

Biohackers Are Implanting Everything From Magnets To Sex Toys

Are you ready for this?
Just a reminder that historically, technlogy can be used for good or bad...
Stefan Nicola wrote about this at BloombergQuint.com:
"Kramer is chief executive officer of Digiwell, a Hamburg startup in what aficionados call body hacking—digital technology inserted into people. Kramer says he’s implanted about 2,000 such chips in the past 18 months, and he has three in his own hands: to open his office door, store medical data, and share his contact information. Digiwell is one of a handful of companies offering similar services, and biohacking advocates estimate there are about 100,000 cyborgs worldwide. “The question isn’t ‘Do you have a microchip?’  ” Kramer says. “It’s more like, ‘How many?’ We’ve entered the mainstream.”"

Harvard: Wind power will create significant warming of 0.24C, plus eat up 5 to 20x more land than thought

It seems that the more information learned about alternative energy, the less attractive it seems to be...
On the WattsUpWithThat website, Leah Burrows reported on this:
"In two papers — published today in the journals Environmental Research Letters and Joule — Harvard University researchers find that the transition to wind or solar power in the U.S. would require five to 20 times more land than previously thought, and, if such large-scale wind farms were built, would warm average surface temperatures over the continental U.S. by 0.24 degrees Celsius."

How Misguided Environmentalism Is To Blame For California's Wildfires

Commonsense forest management?
Now there's an idea. Duh!
That being said, perhaps when a politician's relative gets into that business, and there's government money to be used, it will happen...
Krystina Skurk concludes her article on the Federalist.com with this:
"The saddest part about these fires in California is that they are self inflicted. Californians should not allow such mismanagement to continue. At what point will commonsense forest management practices win out over the ideologically driven environmental lobby? Soon, I hope, or Paradise might not be the only thing lost."

University staff told not to use ‘don’t’ or ‘frightening’ capital letters

The U.K. seems all in as far as political correctness and sensitivity awareness...
This is from FoxNews.com:
"Journalism professors at Leeds Trinity University in the UK have been instructed not to use certain words — in case they frighten sensitive students. According to UK media reports, the use of capital letters has been banned as well as the “overuse” of the words “do” and “don’t”. In an internal staff memo obtained by the Express, staff are told students’ “anxiety” can lead to academic failure. “Despite our best attempts to explain assessment tasks, any lack of clarity can generate anxiety and even discourage students from attempting the assessment at all,” it reads. “Generally, avoid using capital letters for emphasis and the overuse of ‘do’, and, especially, ‘DON’T’."

Actually, Kirsten, You Are Racist If You Don’t Support President Trump

Many are coming to realize who the real racists are...
In her Townhall.com criticism of a CNN contributor, Joy Overbeck hit a home run with this paragraph:
"Economic research has firmly established that illegal immigrants take the jobs of our least-educated and lowest-earning American workers – blacks and other minorities. And I’m not talking lettuce-picking. The Democrats who aid and abet the illegals storming our borders know this but they don’t care. They are focused intently on elevating illegals and helping them to join the workforce and the Democrat voter rolls on the backs of our black workers. They’re putting our American racial minorities down while raising up illegals to compete with them for jobs. In other words, Democrats are racists actively working against the best interests and the very livelihoods of one of their own most faithful voting blocs: black and other minority Americans."

They carjack cars containing just one occupant. There are even accounts of rapes. Many of the migrants will not let people film them. If they see someone filming them through a car window, they stop the car and demand the phone. Backman suspects the reason they don’t want to be filmed is because they have criminal histories. "

Meanwhile, in France.

At Breitbart.com, Chris Tomlinson reported on this:
"A French court in Marseille has convicted 19 people belonging to a drug selling network that was led by a man who specialized in educating people about drug addiction.

The 19 members of the network were handed down sentences of between 12 months to nine years in prison and were believed to have turned over as much as 15,000 euros selling drugs to at least a hundred customers every single day, Europe1 reports.

The network operated out of the Felix Pyat City neighbourhood, a collection of low-income housing blocks that are widely regarded as one of the poorest in all of France where around half of the residents live below the poverty line. Democrat Corruption is a Clear and Present Danger to America

It does seem the Democrat Party has some lesser quality members.
Perhaps, the Republicans do too.
Regardless of party, it is fascinating that they keep getting elected...
At AmericanTinker.com, Patricia McCarthy tells us about this election's Democrats:
"On November 6, it seemed the Republicans might hold their majority in the Senate and in the House. Sadly, they lost their majority in the House. The mystery is why so many Democrat candidates who are so obviously ethically challenged won in races that should not have even been close.

How and why do Democrats continue to vote for unqualified, dishonest candidates?"

Help California rebuild by managing our forests - Opinion

Many environmental movement ideas and knee-jerk reactions have been instituted in the last 50 years or so.
Interestingly, that's when devastating wildfires seemed to begin increasing.
Hmmmm. Anybody listening?...
On RegisterGuard.com, Bob Zybach included this in an article he posted on October 2017:
"Active management in forested environments involves timely marketing and salvage of dead and dying trees; selective thinning of some areas; clearcutting, prescribed burning or reforestation in other areas; good road access; maintaining native wildlife populations and providing recreational opportunities. From World War II until the 1980s, most federal forests were actively managed to provide for national defense, post-war housing, wildfire control, public recreation and wildlife habitat. There were only a few large-scale wildfires during those years.

Passive management of federal forestlands largely began with the 1964 Wilderness Act, creation of the Environmental Protection Agency in 1970, and the 1973 Endangered Species Act.

This process accelerated in following decades with government land-use designations, burgeoning ESA and EPA policies, and public litigation resulting in roadless areas, spotted owl habitat, and other large preserves in which active forest management was discouraged or even outlawed.

Recurring large-scale and catastrophic wildfires in these areas has become a predictable result, beginning in 1987 and growing worse since then."

New California Law Allows Children to Get Transgender Treatments Without Parental Consent

California! Need I say more?...

"A new law recently passed in California allows children as young as 12 years old to receive taxpayer-funded transgender treatments and services, without parental consent.

The controversial California law, known as AB 2119, is intended to 'provide that the rights of minors and non-minors in foster care, as described above, include the right to be involved in the development of case plan elements related to placement and gender affirming health care, with consideration of their gender identity.' AB 2119 was authored by Assemblyman Todd Gloria (D). Costs related to the treatments will reportedly be covered by tax-paying Californians, based on a provision included in the legislation."

"Gaslighting is a tactic in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality. It works much better than you may think. Anyone is susceptible to gaslighting, and it is a common technique of abusers, dictators, narcissists, and cult leaders. It is done slowly, so the victim doesn't realize how much they've been brainwashed."

Why Trump is Right on California Wildfires

California seems to have quite a few catastrophes related to environmental issues.
Many think it's exacerbated by mismanagement...
In an article at FrontPageMag.com, Matthew Vadum seems to have some valid points:
"Years ago environmentalist lobbies ideologically opposed to economic growth put the screws to California’s once-thriving wood-harvesting industry. New federal and state regulations came into effect make it increasingly difficult for the industry to operate.

'As a result, timber industry employment gradually collapsed, falling in 2017 to half of what it was 20 years earlier, with imports from Canada, China, and other nations filling domestic need,' Chuck DeVore, Vice President of National Initiatives at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, writes at Forbes.

As timber harvesting permit fees rose and environmental regulations intensified, industry employees left the field and '[t]he combustible fuel load in the forest predictably soared,' according to DeVore. 'No longer were forest management professionals clearing brush and thinning trees.' With all that kindling piling up on forest floors, today’s devastating wildfires were not hard to foresee."

The Sad, Sad Culture of Progressivism

This has to be read slowly, one sentence at a time...
At AmericanThinker.com, E.M. Cadwaladr writes about Progressivism and finishes with this:
"I will hardly be the first to observe that the left long ago lost the battle over facts. Ghettoes, crime, and overdose deaths are facts. The chaos in Western Europe is a fact. The degeneration of Detroit into semi-rural scrub forest is a fact. The 'arc of history,' pretty as it sounds, is nothing but a literary dream. A castle of mere words. Socialism has always been, at heart, a literary façade for the same old centralization of power -- a petty tyranny at the hands of self-appointed and self-righteous planners and intellectuals. It’s a lie. In its death throes it has even lost the charm of being a beautiful lie."

Liberals Cry Louder for Single-Payer While England’s Single-Payer Nightmare Worsens

"Group appointments"!
That's not a pretty sight, at all...
At Townhall.com, Justin Haskins wants us to know some things about how single-payer healthcare plays out:
"But while the cries for socialized medicine have grown louder in the United States, across the pond, England’s national health care program, the National Health Service, is facing huge difficulties liberals in America don’t want you to know about.

Earlier in October, reports emerged that the National Health Service’s forthcoming 10-year plan will include a policy change that will make group appointments with primary care doctors the 'default' option for those with long-term health problems. Under the new model, patients will be expected to meet with doctors in groups of 15 to save money and time. 'It is billed as an attempt to alleviate strain on family doctors, many of whom complain of being overworked,' a report by The Telegraph (U.K.) noted earlier in October."

2018-11-12 - Veterans Day Observance

The U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs begins it's description of Veterans Day with this. It has changed somewhat over the years:
"World War I – known at the time as 'The Great War' - officially ended when the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919, in the Palace of Versailles outside the town of Versailles, France. However, fighting ceased seven months earlier when an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. For that reason, November 11, 1918, is generally regarded as the end of 'the war to end all wars'.

In November 1919, President Wilson proclaimed November 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day with the following words: 'To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…'

The original concept for the celebration was for a day observed with parades and public meetings and a brief suspension of business beginning at 11:00 a.m."

Will Global Warming Destroy the World? Ask America's Farmers.

As the writer says, "This is a good news story"...
Chris J. Krisinger posted aabout this at AmericanThinker.com:
"This is a good news story. With the fall harvest underway across the nation's Midwest "breadbasket," early U.S. Department of Agriculture reporting predicts record-setting corn and soybean crops for 2018.

The corn crop will be above average for a record sixth year in a row, while soybean production is projected at an all-time high of 4.4 billion bushels, up 4 percent from last year's previous record. U.S. corn, soybean, wheat, and even rice crops look to continue a trend of remarkable growth in both productivity and output. This year, corn may yield a record 178.4 bushels per acre nationwide.

If realized, this will be the highest yield on record for the United States. Soybean yields will likely be up 2.5 bushels from 2017, which surprised grain-trading experts and exceeded even the highest private yield estimate. Wheat yields (for all varieties) are forecast to increase 1.1 bushels from last year, and the 2018-19 U.S. rice crop is projected at 210.9 million cwt, down less than 1 percent from an earlier forecast but 18 percent larger than a year earlier."

How Private Security Guards Protect Hollywood Kids at School

I think it's fine if you feel you need security and can pay for it.
My criticism would be if those same parents publicly denounce methods and procedures to keep the rest of the kids safe...
Lindsay Weinberg has a story about it on the Hollywood Reporter website:
"Depending on security at the school and the family's requests, GDBA may drive the child to school, make sure they get to the classroom and then pick them up at the end of the day. Or they might decide to keep one of GDBA’s 750 'protectors' — bodyguards — in the closest office, but not actually in the same classroom as a student. Or if 'the threat profile is so bad,' if a school didn’t have enough technical measures like alarms or safety protocols in place, 'we would feel better that the protector is directly in front of the classroom,' Hamilton said."

Democrats have intentionally divided the country and stoked fear among the public for a very long time

Sadly, the truth about the Democrat Party is unknown to most...
At AmericanThinker.com, Jack Hellner wants the record set straight as to who is really responsible, as well as a bit of a history lesson. He begins:
"The media and other Democrats are saying that Trump and Republicans have divided the country and encourage hate. They also say Trump and Republicans are using fear to encourage their base to vote. It is clear the media is mixed up because the country has been divided long before Trump and the Democrats have always injected fear into elections. They must have amnesia."

Trump Didn't Start the Fire

That is demonstrably true...
At AmericanThinker.com, David Prentice clearly states is opinion:
"Thank God. He was clearly the right choice. He didn't start this rancor, but he sure fought all the right people to a standstill. Many of them have ruined their own lives, professions, and reputations. While Trump helps amazingly good things happen for our country in spite of them, they keep lighting fires.

No, these are not Trump's fires; these are the fires of the left. They manufacture outrage to regain power. The left's ugliness is unprecedented in these times. Leftists' blaming Trump and the center-right for everything is sick. It's been an epic battle to watch as Trump builds things while they try to burn them, as Trump extinguishes one flame after another while they blame him for the fires they set. When the smoke finally rises, like Churchill, Trump will be seen as one of the great men and movers of his times."

U.S. Climate Data Compromised by Sensors' Proximity to Heat Sources, Critics Say

Sensor locations have always been part of my skeptism on this subject...
At foxnews.com, Joseph Abrams reports what many have known for quite some time:
"A critical cog in the machinery that drives the theory of global warming is a small white box not too far from where you live. Inside the box sits a thermometer that tracks the local temperature, which in turn becomes part of a data trail for the monitoring of climate change on Earth.

But there's a problem: Nearly every single weather station the U.S. government uses to measure the country's surface temperature may be compromised. Sensors that are supposed to be in empty clearings are instead exposed to crackling electronics and other unlikely sources of heat, from exhaust pipes and trash-burning barrels to chimneys and human graves."

Why the Ones Who Got EVERYTHING Wrong in 2016 Probably Won’t Like 2018 Any Better

It won't be long before we know...
At Townhall.com, Kevin McCullough offers some prediction history and his opinion that the polls are wrong aai:
"Three days before the election of 2018 my intuition tells me election night will be a bit of surprise. The GOP should expands seats in the Senate. The GOP may even possibly hold the House in what would be a historical accomplishment not seen in 32 years.

I’ve even recommended grief counselors be brought in for the pundits in MSNBC and that other network—what’s its name—the one that trails the Cartoon Network and infomercials most nights... oh that’s right... CNN.

The people won’t abide being carved up, compartmentalized, and counted out before they even show up. Three days from now they may just show those pundits and media anew—just how little they actually know.

Just three more days!"

Our under-incarceration problem, explosive packages edition

Our societal desire to be tolerant is hurting us...
Paul Mirengoff offers his opinion on the PowerLine blog:
"This is a recurring but almost always ignored phenomenon. In one high-profile case after another, we learn that the criminal is a chronic offender with a rap sheet that, in a properly functioning society, would have mandated his incarceration at the time of his latest offense.

Yet, Democrats and too many Republicans, including some in the White House, are dead set on increasing the number of convicted felons, including dealers of drugs like fentanyl, on the streets. They want shorter sentences for such offenders and they want them released from jail early — an obvious recipe for more crime faster."

Calling Prophet Muhammad a pedophile does not fall within freedom of speech: European court

So, you can't call (what is clearly) a pedophile, a pedophile.
So, here's my opinion: anything the European Union (EU) is for, I'm solidly against...
Thisis from an article on the DW.com website:
"The marriage according to Islamic tradition was consummated when Aisha was nine and Muhammad was around 50. Aisha was the daughter of Muhammad's best friend and the first caliph, Abu Bakr.

The court cited the Austrian women stating during the seminar that Muhammad "liked to do it with children" and "... A 56-year-old and a six-year-old? ... What do we call it, if it is not pedophilia?" An Austrian court later convicted the woman of disparaging religion and fined her €480 ($546). Other domestic courts upheld the decision before the case was brought before the ECHR."

AP Spreads Fake News: Trump Kids Received Birthright Citizenship

Look at this absolutely FAKE news reporting.
The news media is biased and dishonest beyond belief.
AND, they complain when President Trump calls them out!...
At Breitbart.com, John Nolte reported on this example of "fake news":
"A correction noting the mistake was added in the piece, but…
Still, in its so-called fact check, rather than correctly label the claim that Trump’s oldest children received birthright citizenship as false (which it objectively is), the far-left AP said it is a 'mixture' of fact and fiction:
AP’S ASSESSMENT: Mixture. It’s true that Ivana Trump was not a citizen until 1988, but the father of her children was a U.S. citizen and there would have been no special status needed to make them citizens.
This, of course, is a lie. When Trump’s first three children were born, Trump was a U.S. citizen, therefore his children are U.S. citizens — which means his children are U.S. citizens, period. There is no mixed assessment of that fact."

UN 'Peacekeepers' Caught Running A Child Sex Ring: 2,000 Cases of Sexual Abuse Reported

Most of us are uninformed or naive about this stuff...
Thisis part of an article by Kalee Brown on the HumansAreFree website:
" UN 'Peacekeepers' Caught Running A Child Sex Ring: 2,000+ Cases of Sexual Abuse Reported Recent Articles, Satanist Pedophiles 5:00 AM A+ A- Print Email This article contains disturbing content and addresses an issue that desperately needs to be brought to light.

Every single year, pedophilia, sexual abuse, and sex trafficking rates increase. The International Labor Organization estimates that there are 20.9 million human trafficking victims worldwide and 4.5 million people trapped in forced sex trafficking around the globe.

At least 100,000 children are prostituted annually in the U.S., adding to the $9.8 billion U.S. sex trafficking industry.

It’s not just pimps and escaped convicts involved. It’s the people we’re expected to respect or “look up to” the most: the politicians, the elite, the wealthy businessmen, your neighbours, and oftentimes the people that you’d least expect."

The Biannual ‘Voter Suppression’ Scam

The opposition to Voter-ID goes on and on.
One would think "everyone" would want to insure the integrity of the vote...
David Catron writes about it on the Spectator.org website:
"The real issue here isn’t voter suppression. Historically, it is the Democrats who have denied voting rights to minorities. Their major objection to voter ID laws, with its racist implication that minorities can’t figure out how to acquire photo identification, is that they depend on fraud to remain viable. This is why Georgia’s Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Stacey Abrams, openly invites illegal aliens to vote for her. It is why New Hampshire’s Maggie Hassan required double voters from a neighboring state to get her into the U.S. Senate. It was behind the Felons for Franken farce. The Democratic Party is, and always has been, the party of vote fraud."
